When you walk into Annex 3 you will begin to wonder weather or not you have walked through a time portal and been sent to 1979, and it’s the decor which sends you on this trip.
This bar is also run by Hassan Abdullah who runs the bar I featured last week, Lounge Lover and its kind of obvious when you see how both bars are decorated.
Annex 3 has chairs shaped like throw back pumps (that’s girly shoes to us guys), the ceiling is cluttered with chandeliers and the walls are covered in fairy lights and foil!
The decor doesn’t over shadow their cocktail menu though. The ‘New Flames’ list has some really imaginative.
Creations. For example, try the Wasabi Kiss where they fuse together Wasabi, Basil, and Kiwi mixed with Vodka, Koko Kanu and Drambuie!! Along side these wacky wonders are some more restrained ‘Old Flames’, that’s Classics to you and me.
Annex 3 is split into 2 zones, Cocktail lovers hang out in the rear bar on a collection of vintage designer chairs but there’s also a stylish restaurant at the front serving modern European dishes.
To make the most of a night at Annex 3, arrive early for the ‘prix fixe’ menu served before 7.30pm and then set aside the rest of your evening to plough through the cocktail menu!
