Short sharp predictions for tonight Premier Leagues games
Blackburn v Bolton, 20:00
Big Sam returns to the club where he made his name. Blackburn currently 17th definitely in the league, need another victory to get away from the dog fight developing, Spurs win last night puts pressure on both teams. Bolton who are 15th always needs a win to boost their faltering season. Blackburn tough fought victory for me, Big Sam has the front 2 working well and team looks tight which couldn’t be said when Paul Ince was in charge.
Chelsea v Middlesbrough, 19:45
Boro now in the bottom 3 need at least a point to try and get some much needed confidence in the team. Alaves and King possibly to start against Chelsea who dropped to 4th after Villa’s win last night. Chelsea could run rampant tonight, big win for Chelsea.
Everton v Arsenal, 20:00
Battle for 3rd/4th/5th/6th position, Everton are flying high and seems to have overcome their poor home form, still without a striker tonight but can welcome back Fellaini but playmaker Arteta is only 50/50. Arsenal on the other hand have Clinchy and Gallas returning to the full squad. I can see a draw but think Arsenal may sneak a win. Class should shine through
Man City v Newcastle, 19:45
Two teams who both need a kick start, City at home have been scoring freely and Newcastle away havent been great. Craig Bellamy and Nigel de Jong are both available for selection since their recent signings, Man City are without captain Richard Dunne. The Magpies are without Martin, Ameobi and Viduka but do have new boy Peter Lovenkrands available to the squad. “Unsettled” Shay Given to be named but looks like he may swap shirts and contracts later for the City revolution. City home win
West Ham v Hull, 20:00
West Ham after a couple of good wins take on Hull, both teams could do with a win. Jimmy Bullard starts for his new team and will be fresh blood and maybe his banter might help the team get that fun factor back. West Ham will do well to win but think it may end up a draw
Wigan v Liverpool, 19:45
Liverpool must win to keep pace with a strong Man U, Liverpool without a win in a couple of games will no doubt change their line up. If Steven Gerrard and Torres don’t click the Liverpool travelling fans may have taken a trip to an ever improving Wigan. Wigan have lost their midfield general but may still fancy their chances against second place Red’s. Liverpool to sneak it.
